Common questions
How do I start studying?
Open the Today tab and tap Study now. To get cards, go to Decks → Starter decks and add one for your subject, import your own, or tap + New deck to write cards.
How do I import my Anki decks?
In Anki on your computer: File → Export → “Anki Deck Package (.apkg)”, with “Include media” and “Include scheduling information” ticked. Move the file to your phone, then in StudyHatch go to Decks → Import and choose it. Your study progress comes with it.
Can I import from Quizlet or a spreadsheet?
Yes. Export a .csv, .tsv or .txt file with one card per line (term and definition separated by a comma, tab, semicolon or “ - ”), then choose it in Decks → Import.
How do I share a deck with a friend?
Open the deck and tap Share deck, then send the file by AirDrop, Messages, email or any app. Your friend taps the file and chooses “Open in StudyHatch”, or saves it and picks it in Decks → Import. They get the cards; their progress starts fresh.
How do I keep my cards when I change phones?
Sign in with your email in Settings → Account. Your decks sync to your account and appear on any phone where you sign in. If you study as a guest, your cards are only on that device.
Why didn't a deck show any cards today?
Each deck introduces up to 20 new cards a day so reviews stay manageable. When you've reached the limit, the deck screen shows “Learn 10 more” if you want to keep going.
The text on a card is too small or too big.
Go to Settings → Card text size. Long cards also shrink to fit automatically and scroll if needed.
I didn't get my sign-in code.
Check your spam or promotions folder, and make sure the email address is spelled correctly. Codes expire after a few minutes, so request a new one if needed.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. You can also email us. See Delete your account.
